形态描述：半附生或附生草本。假鳞茎压扁的卵形或卵球形，上端渐狭成明显的颈，全长1.3-4厘米，直径1.7-3.7厘米，绿色或暗紫色，顶端具1枚叶。叶在花期尚幼嫩，长成后椭圆形或倒披针形，纸质，长10-30厘米，宽3-7厘米，先端急尖或钝，基部渐狭成柄；叶柄长3-4厘米。花葶从无叶的老假鳞茎基部发出，直立，长7-16厘米，基部有2-3枚膜质的圆筒状鞘，顶端通常具1花，偶见2花；花苞片线状披针形至狭椭圆形，长2.2-4厘米，宽达7毫米，明显长于花梗和子房，先端急尖；花梗和子房长1.5-2.7厘米；花白色至粉红色，唇瓣色泽常略浅于花瓣，上面具有黄色、红色或褐色斑，有时略芳香；中萼片狭椭圆状倒披针形或匙状倒披针形，长4.2-5.7厘米，宽9-15毫米，先端急尖；侧萼片狭椭圆状倒披针形，多少偏斜，长4-5.5厘米，宽10-15毫米，先端急尖或近急尖；花瓣线状倒披针形，长4.2-6厘米，宽10-15毫米，稍长于中萼片，先端近急尖；唇瓣宽卵状椭圆形至近圆形，长4-5.5厘米，宽3-4.6厘米，不明显3裂，先端微缺，上部边缘撕裂状，上面具2-5条褶片，中央1条褶片短或不存在；褶片常有间断，全缘或啮蚀状；蕊柱长2.8-4.2厘米，顶部多少膨大并具齿。蒴果纺锤状，长4厘米，黑褐色。花期3-4月。
